Student Nurses Shine in Biennial Conference 2014

As part of the Caribbean Nursing Organisation Biennial Conference, nursing students profited the opportunity to deliver a number of presentations on the theme " Nurses and Midwifery: Integrating Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes in the Delivery of Quality Patient Care."

New Nursing Regional Exams Format

Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) has added the nursing exam to their list of examinations. Local CXC Registrar, Catherine Daniel announced on Friday August 15th that come October of 2015, students will have the opportunity to sit their first nursing exam for CXC.

CXC also announced that by 2015, most of their examinations will be marked through the e-marking system. Daniel explained that a benefit of that system is “the correctness of the scores. Manually, there can be human errors but the system so-geared that the scores will be correct.” She continued, “From next year, almost all of the subjects will be marked electronically.”
